SERVICES | ADVANCED DENTISTRY
If you or a loved one struggles with loud snoring, frequent waking, or feeling exhausted during the day, it could be more than just poor sleep—it might be sleep apnea. At Jason Smithberger DDS, we offer personalized, non-invasive alternatives to CPAP to help you breathe better, sleep deeper, and live healthier.
Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder that causes repeated interruptions in breathing during the night. The most common form—obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)—occurs when the soft tissues in the throat collapse and block the airway. Common signs of sleep apnea include: Loud, chronic snoring Gasping for air during sleep Morning headaches Difficulty focusing or memory issues Daytime fatigue and irritability Sleep apnea can increase your risk for high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke if left untreated.
Not everyone tolerates a CPAP machine well. That’s why we offer a more comfortable solution: custom-made oral appliances. These small devices reposition the lower jaw to keep your airway open during sleep—without the mask, noise, or hoses.
Our sleep apnea treatment is:
✔ Quiet and travel-friendly.
✔ Custom-fitted to your mouth
✔ Easy to clean and wear.
✔ Proven effective for mild to moderate OSA
Your first visit includes: A thorough review of your symptoms and medical history. 3D imaging using CBCT to evaluate your airway and jaw structure. Discussion of any sleep study results or referrals (we collaborate with sleep physicians). A custom treatment plan using a precision-fit oral appliance, when appropriate.
You may benefit from this treatment if you: Snore regularly. Have been diagnosed with mild or moderate obstructive sleep apnea. Cannot tolerate or prefer an alternative to CPAP. Are looking for snoring alternatives that are more convenient.
If any of these describe you, oral appliance therapy may be the relief you’ve been looking for.
You don’t have to live this way. There is a more comfortable, effective option.
